In Friday's non-league outing, the Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) basketball squad felled the host Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL), by a margin of 57-40.
The Redwings (11-5) will now prepare for their outing against St. Patrick (Chicago, IL). The Shamrocks go into the non-league outing with a 10-0 record. In their last outing, St. Patrick thwarted Carmel (Mundelein, IL), 58-19, in a non-league outing.
The Corsairs now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Glenbrook North for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 30. Carmel will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 55-21 non-league win over Deerfield (Deerfield, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-5.
