Academy for Academic Excellence Knights (Apple Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Big Bear Bears (Big Bear City, CA), 52-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Academy for Academic Excellence upgrades its record to 9-12 on the season. The Knights host Hesperia Christian (Hesperia, CA) to play the Patriots in a Cross Valley bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Hesperia Christian won 52-29 in their recent league bout against Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA)

Next up, the Bears play the University Prep Jaguars (Victorville, CA) in a Cross Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Big Bear will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 28-27 league loss to Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy (Victorville, CA).
