Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Akiachak Huskies (Akiachak, AK) and the visiting Aniak Halfbreeds (Aniak, AK), saw Akiachak's basketball squad hold off Aniak by a margin of 56-52.

The Huskies (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Tuluksak (Tuluksak, AK). The Wolverines go into the 1A Greater Kuskokwim test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Tuluksak was tipped by Aniak (Aniak, AK), 57-35, in a league test.

The Halfbreeds now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tuluksak for a 1A Greater Kuskokwim test on Saturday, January 27. Aniak will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 46-33 league loss to Akiak (Akiak, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-6.
