The Appleton North Lightning basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Oshkosh West Wildcats to 50 in the Lightning league triumph on Friday.

The Lightning now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oshkosh North for a Fox Valley contest on Tuesday, January 30. Appleton North will meet a Spartans team coming off a 68-58 league loss to Appleton East (Appleton, WI). The Spartans record now stands at 7-12.

The Wildcats (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Kimberly (Kimberly, WI). The Papermakers enter the Fox Valley contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, Kimberly ran past Appleton West (Appleton, WI), 71-36, in a league contest.
