Arkansas High School Basketball - Atkins can't hold off Perryville

The Perryville Mustangs basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Atkins Red Devils to 44 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 19-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maumelle Charter for a 3A Region 5 contest on Monday, January 29. Perryville will battle a Falcons team coming off a 61-17 league loss to Mayflower (Mayflower, AR). The Falcons record now stands at 17-12.
The Red Devils (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lamar (Lamar, AR). The Warriors come into the 3A Region 5 contest with a 17-5 record. In their last contest, Lamar was nudged by Baptist Prep (Little Rock, AR), 55-48, in a league contest.
