The Baldwyn Bearcats (Baldwyn, MS) basketball crushed the host Tremont Eagles (Tremont, MS), 49-25 in Friday's league test.

The Bearcats (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Wheeler (Wheeler, MS). The Eagles go into the 1A Region 1 test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, Wheeler was trounced by Thrasher (Booneville, MS), 43-34, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 9-12 record. They play next when they travel to Hickory Flat for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. Tremont will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 65-40 league win over Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 13-10.
