The Rowan County Vikings basketball team (Morehead, KY), was nudged 51-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Bath County Wildcats (Owingsville, KY)

The Wildcats now possess a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairview for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Bath County will confront a Eagles team coming off a 29-27 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 2-16.

The Vikings (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY). The Panthers come into the District 61 battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Fleming County edged Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington (Ripley, OH), 66-36, in a non-league battle.
