Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Bethel Wildcats (Bethel, CT), 52-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pomperaug upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT) to play the Rebels in a Southwest - Patriot bout on Monday, January 29. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 11-3. New Fairfield won 64-48 in their recent league bout against Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT)

Next up, the Wildcats play the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot bout, on Monday, January 29. Bethel will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Green Wave come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 60-43 non-league win over Masuk (Monroe, CT).
