Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK), 48-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Eagle River upgrades its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK) to play the Wolverines in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 7-6. South Anchorage lost 60-39 in their recent league bout against Dimond (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Monday, January 29. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 59-27 non-league loss to Grace Christian (Anchorage, AK).
