Flatonia Bulldogs (Flatonia, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats (Bloomington, TX), 60-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Flatonia upgrades its record to 27-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Shiner (Shiner, TX) to play the Comanches in a 2A Region IV District 28 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Comanches go into the bout with a record of 26-2. Shiner won 49-34 in their recent league bout against Bloomington (Bloomington, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats/Lady Cats play the Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 28 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Bloomington will attempt to upgrade on its 21-9 season record. The Shorthorns go into the bout with a 6-25 record after their 56-21 league loss to Weimar (Weimar, TX).
