In Friday's league outing, the Booker T. Washington Hornets (Tulsa, OK) basketball squad overwhelmed the host East Central Cardinals (Tulsa, OK), by a count of 72-26.

The Hornets (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against Grove (Grove, OK). The Ridgerunners go into the 5A District 3 outing with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Grove was overwhelmed by Tahlequah (Tahlequah, OK), 47-40, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Central Braves (Tulsa, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. East Central will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 51-24 non-league loss to KIPP Tulsa University Prep (Tulsa, OK).
