The Lorenzo Hornets basketball team (Lorenzo, TX), was overwhelmed 80-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX)

The Coyotes now possess a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host O'Donnell for a 1A Region I District 6 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Borden County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 67-39 league win over Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 9-4.

The Hornets (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against All Saints Episcopal School (Lubbock, TX). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 7-16 record. In their last battle, All Saints Episcopal School was overwhelmed by Abilene Christian (Abilene, TX), 42-32, in a league battle.
