Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers (Newfield, NJ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Bridgeton Bulldogs (Bridgeton, NJ), 68-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Our Lady of Mercy Academy upgrades its record to 16-1 on the campaign. The Villagers host Cumberland (Seabrook, NJ) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 2-11. Cumberland lost 35-25 in their recent non-league bout against Pitman (Pitman, NJ)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lower Cape May Tigers (Cape May, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 28. Bridgeton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 45-34 non-league win over Atlantic County Institute of Tech (Mays Landing, NJ).
