Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Trinity Raiders (Whitesville, KY), 59-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Butler County upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Bears host Edmonson County (Brownsville, KY) to play the Wildcats in a District 12 bout on Monday, January 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Edmonson County lost 36-25 in their recent league bout against Grayson County (Leitchfield, KY)

Next up, the Raiders play the St. Mary Vikings (Paducah, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Trinity will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 3-14 record after their 55-35 non-league loss to Livingston Central (Smithland, KY).
