The Okolona Chieftains basketball team (Okolona, MS), was overwhelmed 75-54 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Calhoun City Wildcats (Calhoun City, MS)
The Wildcats now possess a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shannon for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 30. Calhoun City will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 59-56 league loss to Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Red Raiders record now stands at 7-12.
The Chieftains (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against West Point (West Point, MS). The Green Wave come into the non-league battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, West Point trounced Lafayette (Oxford, MS), 50-47, in a league battle.
