The Powder River County Hawks (Broadus, MT) basketball felled the host Carter County Bulldogs (Ekalaka, MT), 62-48 in Friday's league test.

The Hawks (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Garfield County (Jordan, MT). The Mustangs go into the C District 4 test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Garfield County was beaten by Wibaux (Wibaux, MT), 48-42, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Plevna for a C District 4 test on Friday, February 2. Carter County will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 63-37 non-league loss to Lambert/Richey (Lambert, MT). The Cougars record now stands at 2-7.
