Celina Bobcats (Celina, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ranchview Wolves (Irving, TX), 36-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Celina upgrades its record to 10-16 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Anna (Anna, TX) to play the Coyotes in a 4A Region II District 11 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Coyotes come into the bout with a record of 17-10. Anna won 39-28 in their recent league bout against Aubrey (Aubrey, TX)

Next up, the Wolves play the Panther Creek Panthers (Frisco, TX) in a 4A Region II District 11 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Ranchview will attempt to upgrade on its 8-22 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 21-12 record after their 57-47 league loss to Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX).
