Groom Tigers (Groom, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Claude Mustangs (Claude, TX), 38-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Groom upgrades its record to 4-13 on the season. The Tigers travel to White Deer (White Deer, TX) to play the Bucks in a 1A Region I District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bucks go into the bout with a record of 9-14. White Deer lost 62-22 in their recent league bout against Valley (Turkey, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Hedley Owls (Hedley, TX) in a 1A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Claude will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record.
