In Friday's league outing, the Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA), by a margin of 51-8.
The Braves (14-2) will now prepare for their outing against English Valleys (North English, IA). The Bears go into the South Iowa Cedar outing with a 10-6 record. In their last outing, English Valleys was trounced by Sigourney (Sigourney, IA), 48-39, in a league outing.
The Tigerhawks now own a 0-16 record. They play next when they travel to North Mahaska for a South Iowa Cedar outing on Tuesday, January 30. Colfax-Mingo will clash with a Warhawks squad coming off a 55-47 league loss to Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 13-3.
