Pollok Central Bulldogs (Pollok, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX), 42-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Pollok Central upgrades its record to 20-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Hemphill (Hemphill, TX) to play the Hornets in a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 6-15. Hemphill lost 80-21 in their recent league bout against Huntington (Huntington, TX)

Next up, the Lumberjacks play the Woodville Eagles (Woodville, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Diboll will attempt to upgrade on its 16-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 11-13 record after their 51-26 league win over Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX).
