The East Gaston Warriors basketball team (Mt. Holly, NC), was toppled 42-34 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC)

The Rams now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Burns for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont battle on Tuesday, January 30. Highland Tech will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 48-33 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-10.

The Warriors (1-13) will now prepare for their battle against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC). The Gryphons come into the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont battle with a 13-3 record.
