In Friday's non-league outing, the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) basketball squad edged the visiting Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY), by a count of 49-48.
The Warriors (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against Council (Council, VA). The Cobras go into the non-league outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, Council held off Hurley (Hurley, VA), 48-36, in a league outing.
The Hornets now hold a 1-18 record. They play next when they host Martin County for a District 57 outing on Tuesday, January 30.
