Texas High School Basketball - Elgin thwarts Pflugerville Connally

The Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX), 48-36 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats (10-20) will now prepare for their test against Georgetown (Georgetown, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region III District 23 test with a 24-5 record. In their last test, Georgetown notched a victory over Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX), 49-23, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 15-14 record. They play next when they host Cedar Creek for a 5A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, January 30. Pflugerville Connally will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 70-10 league loss to East View (Georgetown, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-20.
