The Stanton Vikings basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Essex Trojans to 21 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sidney for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Stanton will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 67-36 league loss to Fremont-Mills (Tabor, IA). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-11.
The Trojans (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Sidney (Sidney, IA). The Cowboys enter the non-league contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Sidney was routed by Stanton (Stanton, IA), 44-24, in a non-league contest.
