The Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL) basketball felled the host Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL), 64-55 in Friday's league test.
The Hawks (24-1) will now prepare for their test against Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 18-10 record. In their last test, Prospect thwarted Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL), 69-31, in a league test.
The Wildkits now own a 9-14 record. They play next when they host Warren Township for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. Evanston will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 48-30 league loss to Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 13-10.
