In Friday's league match, the host South County Stallions basketball team scored a decisive 57-26 triumph over the Fairfax Lions.
The Stallions (14-3) will now prepare for their outing against West Springfield (Springfield, VA). The Spartans go into the District 4 outing with a 8-8 record. In their last outing, West Springfield was crushed by Lake Braddock (Burke, VA), 37-34, in a league outing.
The Lions now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Robinson for a District 4 outing on Monday, January 29. Fairfax will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 45-20 league win over Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Rams record now stands at 17-2.
