With the victory, Falls Lake improves its record to 19-1 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to confront the Red Barons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Red Barons come into the challenge with a record of 12-4. Gates County lost 52-34 in their recent league challenge against Perquimans (Hertford, NC)

Next up, the Raptors confront the Raleigh Charter Phoenix (Raleigh, NC) in a 1A/2A Super Six challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Research Triangle will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 39-37 league win over Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC).
