Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), 56-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Lumpkin County upgrades its record to 9-12 on the season. The Indians host Murray County (Chatsworth, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Murray County won 75-28 in their recent league bout against Rockmart (Rockmart, GA)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Gilmer will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 78-34 league win over Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA).
