The Spur Bulldogs (Spur, TX) basketball felled the visiting Guthrie Jaguars (Guthrie, TX), 30-15 in Friday's league test.
The Bulldogs (15-10) will now prepare for their test against Motley County (Matador, TX). The Matadors go into the 1A Region I District 5 test with a 9-11 record. In their last test, Motley County was beaten by Paducah (Paducah, TX), 56-22, in a league test.
The Jaguars now own a 14-14 record. They play next when they travel to Jayton for a 1A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 30. Guthrie will encounter a Jaybirds squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Patton Springs (Afton, TX). The Jaybirds record now stands at 20-10.
