Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles (Edgerton, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots (Hills, MN), 60-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Southwest Minnesota Christian upgrades its record to 16-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Murray County Central (Slayton, MN) to clash with the Rebels in a A Section 3 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 8-11.

In their next game, the Patriots face the George-Little Rock Mustangs (George, IA) in a non-league game, on Monday, January 29. Hills-Beaver Creek will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 12-3 record after their 58-34 non-league win over Trinity Christian (Hull, IA).
