The Mavericks now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Progreso for a 3A Region IV District 32 battle on Tuesday, January 30. IDEA Weslaco Pike will battle a Red Ants team coming off a 36-28 league loss to Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, TX). The Red Ants record now stands at 17-11.

The Blue Devil (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against Lyford (Lyford, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region IV District 32 battle with a 27-6 record. In their last battle, Lyford trounced Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX), 43-37, in a league battle.
