The Kingsley Stags basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Leland Comets to 30 in the Stags league triumph on Friday.
The Stags now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buckley for a Northwest contest on Wednesday, January 31. Kingsley will battle a Bears team coming off a 42-28 league loss to Frankfort (Frankfort, MI). The Bears record now stands at 5-8.
The Comets (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Suttons Bay (Suttons Bay, MI). The Norsemen enter the Northwest bout with a 1-11 record. In their last bout, Suttons Bay was knocked off by Traverse City HomeSchool (Traverse City, MI), 36-23, in a non-league bout.
