North Carolina High School Basketball - Lakewood tops Neuse Charter

Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC), 43-33 in a league bout.
With the victory, Lakewood upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a 1A Carolina bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 5-13. Rosewood lost 37-8 in their recent league bout against North Duplin (Calypso, NC)
Next up, the Cougars play the Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) in a 1A Carolina bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Neuse Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 53-18 league win over Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC).
