The Little River Academy Bumblebees basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Rogers Eagles to 30 in the Bumblebees league triumph on Friday.
The Bumblebees now sport a 23-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to C.H. Yoe for a 3A Region III District 19 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Little River Academy will meet a Yoemen team coming off a 67-7 league loss to Lorena (Lorena, TX). The Yoemen record now stands at 14-13.
The Eagles (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, TX). The Eagles enter the 3A Region III District 19 contest with a 19-11 record. In their last contest, Lexington ran past Troy (Troy, TX), 52-29, in a league contest.
