Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL) and the host Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), saw Niles West's basketball squad knock off Maine East by a count of 62-54.

With the victory, Niles West upgrades its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Wolves host Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL) to play the Cougars in a Central Suburban - North challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 9-17. Vernon Hills won 59-36 in their recent league challenge against Niles North (Skokie, IL)

Next up, the Blue Demons play the Fenton Bison (Bensenville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Maine East will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Bison come into the challenge with a 9-14 record after their 71-31 league loss to Larkin (Elgin, IL).
