The Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix (Memphis, TN) basketball knocked off the host Manassas Tigers (Memphis, TN), 48-38 in Friday's league test.

The Phoenix (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Soulsville (Memphis, TN). The Revolution go into the 1A District 15 test with a 0-7 record. In their last test, Soulsville went down by Booker T. Washington (Memphis, TN), 63-13, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Middle College for a 1A District 15 test on Tuesday, January 30. Manassas will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 42-21 league win over Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering (Memphis, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 18-2.
