The Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) basketball felled the host Valley View Blazers (Jonesboro, AR), 65-54 in Friday's league test.
The Patriots (13-9) will now prepare for their test against West Memphis (West Memphis, AR). The Blue Devils go into the 5A East test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, West Memphis was beaten by Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR), 45-33, in a league test.
The Blazers now own a 9-12 record. They play next when they travel to Batesville for a 5A East test on Friday, February 2. Valley View will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 55-45 league loss to Searcy (Searcy, AR). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-9.
