North Carolina High School Basketball - Weddington beaten by Marvin Ridge

In Friday's league match, the host Marvin Ridge Mavericks basketball team scored a good 56-47 triumph over the Weddington Warriors.

In their next game, the Mavericks meet the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a 4A Southern Carolina match, on Tuesday, January 30. Marvin Ridge will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record. The Pirates enter the match with a 14-5 record after their 56-43 league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC).

With the defeat, Weddington moves to 11-7 on the year. The Warriors host Monroe (Monroe, NC) to meet the Redhawks in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 31. The Redhawks enter the match with a record of 3-11.
