The McGregor Bulldogs (McGregor, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Rockdale Tigers (Rockdale, TX), 44-37 in Friday's league test.

The Bulldogs (12-18) will now prepare for their test against Troy (Troy, TX). The Trojans go into the 3A Region III District 19 test with a 15-13 record. In their last test, Troy was tipped by Lexington (Lexington, TX), 52-29, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 17-13 record. They play next when they host Lorena for a 3A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, January 30. Rockdale will encounter a Leopards squad coming off a 67-7 league win over C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX). The Leopards record now stands at 25-5.
