Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Vale Vikings (Vale, OR) and the visiting McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR), saw Vale's basketball squad wallop McLoughlin by a count of 52-15.

With the victory, Vale upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Baker (Baker City, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 29. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 9-9. Baker lost 39-21 in their recent league challenge against La Grande (La Grande, OR)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge, on Friday, February 2. McLoughlin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
