The Oceanside Mariners (Rockland, ME) basketball knocked off the host Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME), 49-40 in Friday's league test.

The Mariners (14-0) will now prepare for their test against Belfast (Belfast, ME). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Belfast notched a victory over Morse (Bath, ME), 58-32, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln Academy for a B South test on Tuesday, January 30. Medomak Valley will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 38-35 non-league loss to Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 8-6.
