In Friday's league outing, the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs (Watsonville, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Stevenson Pirates (Pebble Beach, CA), by a count of 46-44.

The Mustangs (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against Seaside (Seaside, CA). The Spartans go into the PCAL - Mission outing with a 8-10 record. In their last outing, Seaside was tipped by Soledad (Soledad, CA), 52-33, in a league outing.

The Pirates now hold a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to Rancho San Juan for a PCAL - Mission outing on Thursday, February 1. Stevenson will clash with a Trailblazers squad coming off a 54-45 league win over Carmel (Carmel, CA). The Trailblazers record now stands at 10-10.
