Mount Paran Christian Eagles (Kennesaw, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host South Atlanta Hornets (Atlanta, GA), 62-16 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mount Paran Christian upgrades its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Coretta Scott King YWLA (Atlanta, GA) to play the Soaring Eagle in a AA Region 6 bout on Friday, February 2. The Soaring Eagle come into the bout with a record of 3-10.

Next up, the Hornets play the North Cobb Christian Eagles (Kennesaw, GA) in a AA Region 6 bout, on Saturday, January 27. South Atlanta will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 55-20 league win over KIPP Atlanta Collegiate (Atlanta, GA).
