In Friday's league challenge, the host New Boston Lions basketball squad scored a big 54-10 victory over the Pewitt Brahmas.

With the victory, New Boston improves its record to 8-15 on the campaign. The Lions host Redwater (Redwater, TX) to confront the Dragons in a 3A Region II District 14 challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 2-23. Redwater lost 62-17 in their recent league challenge against Queen City (Queen City, TX)

Next up, the Brahmas confront the Atlanta Rabbits (Atlanta, TX) in a 3A Region II District 14 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Pewitt will attempt to improve on its 3-18 season record. The Rabbits come into the challenge with a 18-9 record after their 67-32 league win over New Boston (New Boston, TX).
