North Callaway Thunderbirds (Kingdom City, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Silex Owls (Silex, MO), 66-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Callaway upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Wellsville-Middletown (Wellsville, MO) to clash with the Tigers in a Eastern Missouri bout on Monday, January 29. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Wellsville-Middletown won 65-58 in their recent non-league bout against Higbee (Higbee, MO)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Mark Twain Tigers (Center, MO) in a Eastern Missouri bout, on Monday, January 29. Silex will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-13 record after their 62-44 non-league win over Marion County (Philadelphia, MO).
