South Carolina High School Basketball - Northwood Academy crushes Porter-Gaud

January 26, 2024: Charleston, SC 29486

Northwood Academy Chargers (Charleston, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC), 71-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Northwood Academy upgrades its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to First Baptist School (Charleston, SC) to play the Hurricanes in a SCISA AAAA Region III bout on Friday, February 2. The Hurricanes come into the bout with a record of 18-8.

Next up, the Cyclones play the Wilson Hall Barons (Sumter, SC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Porter-Gaud will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Barons come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 35-22 league loss to Trinity Collegiate (Darlington, SC).
