In Friday's league outing, the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders (San Marcos, CA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Pacific Ridge Firebirds (Carlsbad, CA), by a margin of 39-35.

The Crusaders (12-13) will now prepare for their outing against Francis Parker (San Diego, CA). The Lancers go into the Freelance outing with a 14-7 record. In their last outing, Francis Parker got by Bishop's (La Jolla, CA), 58-41, in a league outing.

The Firebirds now own a 10-11 record. They play next when they host La Jolla Country Day for a Coastal outing on Tuesday, January 30. Pacific Ridge will encounter a Torreys squad coming off a 85-20 league win over Classical Academy (Escondido, CA). The Torreys record now stands at 18-6.
