North Carolina High School Basketball - Pine Forest can't hold off Westover

January 26, 2024: Fayetteville, NC 28303

The Westover Wolverines basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Pine Forest Trojans to 33 in the Wolverines league victory on Friday.

The Wolverines now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John Paul II Catholic for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Westover will battle a Saints team coming off a 54-13 league win over Coastal Christian (Wilmington, NC). The Saints record now stands at 18-3.

The Trojans (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Eagles come into the 3A/4A All-American contest with a 3-12 record.
