Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Soledad Aztecs (Soledad, CA) and the host Seaside Spartans (Seaside, CA), saw Soledad's basketball squad overcome Seaside by a tally of 52-33.

With the victory, Soledad improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Greenfield (Greenfield, CA) to confront the Bruins in a PCAL - Mission challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Bruins come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Greenfield won 54-37 in their recent league challenge against Rancho San Juan (Salinas, CA)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs (Watsonville, CA) in a PCAL - Mission challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Seaside will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 46-44 league win over Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA).
