The South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR) basketball knocked off the visiting Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR), 45-32 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers (14-3) will now prepare for their test against South Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Axe go into the 6A Southwest test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, South Eugene notched a victory over Roseburg (Roseburg, OR), 45-33, in a league test.

The Wolverines now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they host North Medford for a 6A Southwest test on Tuesday, January 30. Willamette will encounter a Black Tornado squad coming off a 57-42 league win over Sheldon (Eugene, OR). The Black Tornado record now stands at 7-10.
